When I first heard of Ubuntu Snappy Core I was immediately intrigued. Dual file systems, new package manager, the ability to roll-back updates, what in the world was Canonical up to? I had to find it out for myself. With VirtualBox in tow, I went to Ubuntu’s website so I can download and install the ISO. No luck. Ubuntu Core was being distributed different from traditional Ubuntu. Tarballs for Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices and “cloud images” for everything else.
